It's not often I draw a person with a lot of close missing, and it's even less often when they don't HAVE clothes. But With Elfen Lied, I just could not resist a tasteful display of semi-covered nakedness! Nyu, or Lucy, is the main character of Elfen Lied, and despite being very pretty and most of the time gleamining with innocence she's a very experienced killer, even when he doesn't realize she's doing it. I won't sit here and describe the story to you because you COULD just read the manga at mangavolume.com or realitylapse.com but I LOVED this little series to death! (no pun intended). And it was a perfect chance for me to do a different kind of art I think.

Originally this picture was going to stay in a monochromatic grayscale but I desided to show some colour through, simply because it seemed to add to it a bit. This is a VERY different style of colouring I used on this and I'm not sure i liked it as much but it creates a pretty effect! Considering I worked on this baby at a 300 resolution maximized to about 800 percent, I KNOW the flaws...The first complaint about the eyes gets a smack >.< Because I slaved on tryign to get those right (yes the Leo is tempermental about this picture.) I'm somewhat happy about it...dispite the awkwardness of the arm and weird angle of the head...

The cheap and utterly shameful background was made by yours truly...I'm not happy with it...because my background skillz = 0, but it was an appropriate background...

Also, I used NO reference for this picture...hence any inaccuracies o-o; and why that tree looks like garbage... Anyways...>.> I hope you like it anyways...not matter how i may bitch about it being unworthy of any attention at all...
